Polk County Public Schools is looking for a Senior Analyst, IT-Programmer to join the Software Development Team. This position exists to perform advanced, highly complex, and professional activities involving the analysis, development, and maintenance of software programs/applications in a complex, evolving, and heterogeneous environment utilizing advanced development methodologies.

You'll be a great fit for this position if you:

• know your stuff - You have extensive knowledge of systems and programming or related education or training. Knowledge of HTML/JS is preferred. TypeScript, Angular, & C+ knowledge is also highly preferred. SQL, CSS libraries (particularly Material Design or Bootstrap) and responsive design knowledge are definite plusses!
• are analytically minded - You love all things analytical. You have considerable knowledge of mathematics, statistics, logic, and formal principles of reasoning.
• are self motivated with excellent time management - upon completion of successful on-site training and pending project needs, this position has the possibility to work remotely. Candidate must be local to respond to district responsibilities, as needed.
• are an IT whiz - You have the ability to interpret specifications, plan, design, and build software applications. Not only can you create programs, you can also test and train for use.

Here's the work you'll contribute to the team:

• Plan, design, and build new or revised software applications according to specifications.
• Act as technical resource for Programmer Analysts.
• Maintain technical documentation regarding applications.
• Serve as liaison for users.
• Interface with other technical staff to coordinate planned changes to software applications.
• Conduct unit testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
