As a growing company we have an excellent opportunity for a motivated Business Development Manager.

Position Profile: The Business Development Manager is an individual contributor role primarily responsible for identifying, qualifying, and pursuing prospective contracts for proposal consulting opportunities across the United States. Must be a strong sales hunter. Duties include:

  • Develop strategies for targeted prospects; direct preparation of proposals and presentations to win new business opportunities in existing and new pursuits.
  • Coordinate with Management and other departments in formulating strategy, leading proposal preparation, conducting negotiations with customers and teaming partners in alignment with approved business objectives.
  • Establish and maintains customer and teaming partner relationships.
  • Develop timelines and ensure that key deal milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Make minimum of 40 outbound prospecting dials a day plus supporting email
  • Work independently and as a vital member of the sales team.
  • Become an expert in your client’s domain, develop appropriate technical expertise to be an effective and trusted partner to your clients.
  • Command of consultative selling techniques supports your desire to earn more than your current income

The successful candidate will have a minimum 5-year track record successfully selling high-ticket services to executives in large and medium-size government contracting firms. Familiarity with federal business environment needed. In addition, familiarity with staffing services is a plus. Must be comfortable and have experience selling in a highly competitive market, be effective in overcoming resistance, have exceptional outbound prospecting, pipeline management, and lead generation skills.

Travel: Although most customers are in the DC Metro area, up to 10% travel is possible. This is inclusive of both corporate marketing events as well as Customer facing meetings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
