JOB SUMMARY:
The Corporate Finance Business Partner (FBP) is an integral member of our Corporate FP&A team. You will serve as a partner to senior management by helping ensure that new programs and initiatives are aligned with both near term and long term financial and strategic objectives, and build partnerships with internal clients to provide high quality financial analysis and guidance on financial performance.
You'll evaluate performance across multiple performance standards and provide extraordinary customer service for internal and external customers. Our Business Partners assist in ensuring financial targets are met by proactively finding solutions to implement operational strategies that improve financial results and enhance business opportunities. In addition to strong financial knowledge, the FBP is skilled in building relationships, influencing leaders, and thinking strategically.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work in a fast paced environment with business partners to help ensure that they stay within budget and forecast
- Through analytics, understand and actively communicate causes of variances and present variance analyses to senior staff in a simple, concise and easy to consume format
- Partner with IT management in identifying, collaborating and evaluating requests around IT strategic goals.
- Challenge leaders throughout the organization to think strategically and allocate resources in pursuit of organizational strategic priorities
- Understand key strategic priorities and perform analysis to ensure company resources are allocated efficiently around those priorities
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and critical thinking to address problems and make recommendations
- Work on ad-hoc projects and financial modeling as required, in support of pivotal initiatives and pre/post investment analytics
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Business Finance or related field. MBA preferred
- Adept in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Developing and understanding sophisticated financial models. Overall understanding of accounting principles and financial planning concepts
- Experience supporting Information Technology functional departments and leaders. Knowledge and understanding of large-scale IT projects
- Advanced in MS Excel. Intermediate level skills in MS Word and PowerPoint. Experience with macros with exposure to various specialized functions and features and Visual Basic preferred
- Strong understanding of financial reporting software (specifically Oracle, Anaplan, TM1/Cognos, Hyperion Enterprise and Reporting software)
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
- Detail orientated with high attention to quality and accuracy
- Ability to interact with various levels of management
