Located in St. Louis, Missouri, Soft Surroundings was founded in 1999. Since that time, the Company has grown from a catalog company into a multi-channel merchant with a large catalog circulation, significant on-line business and over 40 brick and mortar stores throughout the United States. Your projects and creative tasks (the fun part):
-Responsible for delivering well-composed, on-brand, and high-converting email designs to various consumer segments, and other key web initiatives at Soft Surroundings.- -Collaborate with the marketing team to establish a consistent, differentiated, and customer-first brand experience.
- -Collaborate with team of copywriters, CRM strategists, and other creatives to design for brand and performance marketing campaigns and engaging content designed to drive conversion across all channels.
- -Analyze consumer-trend and market dynamics to develop creative strategies and recommendations for future brand and growth marketing activities.
- -Guide the day-to-day work of direct reports, giving them critical feedback, inspiration and creative guidance.
- -Support Sr Art Director in driving success of the Soft Surroundings brand from a design perspective, and manage campaign creative from idea creation to final execution, and iteration, based on performance.
- -Be an active participant in ad hoc creative and strategic projects.
- -Be proactive and not afraid to ask questions. Curiosity is key.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of digital creative experience, with at least 2 years in senior creative role.
- Must have demonstrated experience designing email, media, and promotional assets for fashion ecommerce brand.
- A portfolio of work showcasing a strong multidisciplinary approach to brand design development, visual solutions, and storytelling, including print (signage, catalog), online presence, and digital advertising (digital paid ads, social media, email, and web).
- Experience in both brand and performance-focused creative, with a proven track record of developing complementary assets that meet the needs of each channel.
- Degree in advertising, fine art, digital design, or relevant field.
- Hands-on experience in the creative process from conceptualization to execution
- Excellent working knowledge of software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite. HTML knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to work in a remote team environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and pivot quickly based on new priorities.
- The mindset to work in a fast-growing organization, drive change, and build from scratch.
