The Senior Project Manager drives all aspects of a project for the Pharmacy Engineering PMO, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. The Senior Project Manager assignments range from simple to very complex and support new builds, continuous improvement initiatives or BOP compliance issues for our pharmacy dispensing operations. Projects will be related to mechanical, electrical, control logic and/or software applications

Responsibilities

This Senior Project Manager role will initially support pharmacy dispensing operation builds in Orlando, FL and the primary focus will be to provide help as an onsite PM presence at our new site. This role will work with and support multiple teammate PMs who are managing the new pharmacy line builds; first working to bring up the Specialty dispensing line and then transition over to the Traditional dispensing line build. After the pharmacies are live, this role will support continuous improvement initiatives. This position will start predominately remotely, but transition to a mix of remote/onsite and then more frequently onsite as the line builds progress and go live.

The Senior Project Manager designs, communicates, and implements an operational plan for completing the project; monitors progress and performance against the project plan; takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identifies, develops, and gathers the resources to complete the project. Prepares designs and work specifications; develops project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors. Communicates with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project. Conducts meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project. Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and milestones. Begins to influence department - s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of equivalent project management experience.
  • 5 or more years of project management experience on various sized projects
  • Technical aptitude - preferably mechanical, electrical, engineering, construction or maintenance related industry experience
  • Problem solving and thinking outside of the box mentality
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and drive results
  • Ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to communicate with associates at all levels
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Additional information
