We are seeking Shipping Supervisor for our Aurora, CO Insulfoam plant, to manage our shipping department team of 4 team members. This individual will be responsible for supervising all shipping personnel and the execution of all shipping functions that are required to ensure customer fulfillment. Furthermore, this position is tasked with the ownership of key general facility items.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Shipping department’s effort to reduce waste using the SQDC boards, corrective action sheets, and participates in GEMBAS and COS activities.
  • Conduct basic employee feedback – performance evaluations, written disciplinary actions and counseling, and employees’ adherence to Standard Work and Job Instructions.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product and standards of work.
  • Assures proper PPE is used per plant requirements. Conveys and enforces company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations.
  • Clearly and regularly communicates pertinent performance, work schedule, and activities to the production hourly employees and lead daily toolbox meetings.
  • Maintains time and attendance records.
  • Proactively audits department for at-risk conditions or behaviors. Reports all accidents, injuries, and near misses to Transportation Manager and assures all documentation is completed and tracks countermeasures.
  • Ensure products are shipped accurately. Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Negotiates and secures pricing agreements with transportation providers and facilitates scheduling of inbound/outbound international shipments.
  • Audits and approves freight invoices using SAP, argue incorrect invoices with freight providers and gain resolution.
  • Actively participates with management teams, supporting implementation of process improvements, providing requested data for problem solving, participate in projects, support attainment of business goals, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Plant Manager.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position spends the majority of time inside in a manufacturing environment (85%) and the remainder working outside (15%) in the Shipping Bay areas. Business is cyclical and will require flexibility in shift hours and days of the week worked. Typically shifts are Monday through Friday although weekends may be required during high sales volumes.

Note to Colorado applicants:

Per the states Wage Transparency Act the range for this position is $70,000.00- $75,000.00. Actual salary could be greater based on education, experience and other qualifying skill sets.
