We are currently hiring for a experienced Bilingual Shipping Supervisor for our Shipping department.. If this sounds like your next career move, please apply! The right candidates will posses strong communication skills and have previous leadership experience within shipping and receiving.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise all the distribution and productivity activities for the shipping area ensuring that lead times, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
  • Train and lead all the shipping associates to perform all departmental operation in a high volume shipping parcel orders environment (International and Domestic, UPS and FedEx)
  • Sort orders based on freight terms and ship via Ground vs Express
  • Ensure all the picking, packing, audit, and process of the packages are met on time and accurately
  • Ensure all associates are following all departmental process and safety procedures
  • Monitor and hands-on in productivity KPI’S
  • Communicates with all departments including Sales to maintain a consistent and open communication workflow
  • Ensure all the International shipments are processed using all the HTS codes, commercial invoice, and ETD documentation following each country requirement.
  • Oversee and check that all outbound packages are loaded in a timely and effective manner
  • Communicate issues to Supervisor and Manager
  • Lead 5S and Lean Process in the operations to increase productivity and reduce cost
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale
  • Review open orders and production status to plan daily operations.
  • Able to generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Strong safety background and culture
  • Accurately analyze and collect data for various types of business reports as well as interpret data for business processes, investigate root causes and provide appropriate recommendations based on analysis
  • Able to interact with the external customers at the “Will Call” pick up orders
  • Confirm and process small parcel shipments through UPS and FFEDX software
  • Verified that package weight and shipment information is accurate
  • Previous experience with ERP and WMS


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 3-5 years in a similar position within a manufacturing or distribution environment center in a high volume of orders 40,000 to 50,000 packages per month.
  • Minimum 1year experience utilizing Fed-Ex, UPS, or other shipping software (REQUIRED)
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is required
  • International shipping knowledge: HTS codes, Commercial invoices, USMCA compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment including meeting time-sensitive eCommerce shipping demands
  • Demonstrated success in problem-solving
  • Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 75 pounds
  • Know and understand common acronyms and packaging terminology
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in lean principles and 5S standards.
  • Robust working knowledge of systems including strong Excel skills.
  • Monitoring performance of self, others, or organization to make improvements or take corrective actions
