Shipping Supervisor Job at RT London
Summary
Responsible for all functions related to shipping and receiving related functions of the company. Provides guidance on logistics of projects and freight quotes. Reports to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintains shipping procedures documents
- Train and perform reviews employees in department
- Review and update list of carrier contracts
- Set up yearly freight contracts
- File and track freight claims
- Update shipping schedule in database
- Print sales orders and determine method of shipments
- Contact customers to set up delivery
- Set up shipments using recommended mode of transport
- Oversee receiving methods, PO receipts, and receiving employee(s)
- Update report on inspections required
- Hilo, fork truck, electric jack, and yard truck maintenance
- Test and review hilo drivers for safety
- Provide freight quotes in a timely manner
- Determine workforce requirements for department
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift products to be able to assist department as needed with tasks
- Ability to balance attention to detail and quick turn around time on requests for logistical data.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn each function in the department
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
