Life Journey Psychological Services is looking for Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. We are hiring for three different positions:

1. Traditional Office Clinicians: Clinicians to work in office settings using a variety of cognitive behavioral and other traditional modalities in Lowell, Kentwood or Grand Rapids. Clinicians are working over Zoom or a mixed remote and on ground schedule. These positions do not involve working with horses but take place in a traditional office setting at office in East Grand Rapids, Kentwood, or Lowell and over zoom.

2. Equine Beginner Clinicians: Clinicians with a passion for horses and a desire to learn. It is helpful to have had some experience with horses but we are willing to train the right candidate. You will provide equine therapy with an expert horse handler in Lowell, Michigan. These clinicians will work with horses and expert horse handlers to provide psychotherapy (not therapy for those with physical disabilities) at one of the most prestigious barns in West Michigan https://www.facebook.com/RivendellStable/. This is a 30 acre, 35 stall, 100 x 200 indoor arena, heated tack area equine facility with beautifully decorated psychological offices. You do not have to be a certified equine therapist but you must be licensed in the state of Michigan as a limited or fully licensed social worker, counselor, psychologist or family and marriage therapist.

3. Equine Expert Clinicians: Clinicians with an extensive background in riding horses to provide equine therapy in Lowell, Michigan. These clinicians will work with horses to provide psychotherapy (not therapy for those with physical disabilities) at one of the most prestigious barns in West Michigan https://www.facebook.com/RivendellStable/. This is a 30 acre, 35 stall, 100 x 200 indoor arena, heated tack area equine facility with beautifully decorated psychological offices. You do not have to be a certified equine therapist but you must have an extensive background in working with horses.

We strive for practitioners who come from diverse perspectives with the common thread of achieving outcomes for clients. You must have at least a Masters level education and a current state limited or full license in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy. Although many insurance panels are closed, you can still be credentialed with Life Journey as we have special relationships with most of the major insurance companies including BCBS, BCN, Priority Health, Cigna, Aetna and many others with closed panels. Our facilities are available 24/7 for therapy so a variety of work schedules are possible. We are in search of full time, salaried employees. We will consider hiring part-time therapists who are able to commit to a 15 client per week minimum.

Generous salary to start with Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance, Dental, Optical, Short and Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance. Benefits package includes two weeks of paid vacation, 7 holidays and 5 sick days. These are not grant dependent but permanent salaried positions.

Ideal Candidates Qualifications:

• Limited or full licensure in the State of Michigan as a Psychologist (LP), Limited Licensed Psychologist (DLLP or TLLP, LLP), Social Worker (LLMSW or LMSW), Counselor (LLPC, LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LLMFT or LMFT)
• At least Masters level licensure
• Relationship and solution focused
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Technologically savvy
• A person who is in awe of life and humbled to serve others
