You will have lead design teams through full product development and into production. As a Principal, you will be expected to demonstrate a level of expertise in a particular area that matches or exceeds the expertise of our customers. You will consult on system architectures, assess technical requirements and competencies needed during quoting and oversee design progressions during product developments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Customer support for Linux based embedded SW application, running on 4G/5G Radios
- Work with internal teams(Hardware, Firmware, and Integration) to debug issues both with the SW and with the system as a whole
- Help to debug issues found in the development labs
- Work with external customers in their labs (remotely) to solve system integration issues
- Develop wide understanding of the SW architecture
- Role will evolve into SW architectural design
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Strong C++ including modern C++ (11,14, etc)
- Skilled at having the ability to understand code functionality from reading it
- Experience with embedded development and debugging
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and adjust to changing priorities
- Ability to lead a small team in solving problems
Plus:
- Knowledge of LTE/5G RANs (Radio Access Networks), especially Radios
- Linux kernel development: Yocto build environment
- Experience in multi-threaded development
- Communication protocols and tools
- NETCONF/YANG experience
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in Embedded SW Development. Experience in SW Architecture a plus.
LOCATION
Must be based in NJ and able to be on site in our Warren office 1 to 2 days per week.
