The Bioinformatics Soiftware Engineer in Test is responsible for designing and developing automated test suites and conducting hands-on testing of the MathWorks Bioinformatics products. As a member of the Bioinformatics Development team, the engineer will participate in the project from its early design stages and play a critical role in driving it to final product release.

Specific tasks will include:
- Providing bioinformatics domain-based feedback about plans for product and tool development.
- Developing test strategies and test plans.
- Designing and implementing test infrastructure to enable test automation.
- Implementing test suites to test bioinformatics functionality.
- Reporting detected bugs using our bug tracking system.
- Working closely with the Bioinformatics and Systems Biology Development, QE, Usability, and Documentation teams.
- Working occasionally with Technical Support.
- MS with Computational Biology/Bioinformatics/Statistics background required.
- Programming experience in 2 of the following required: MATLAB, R, JavaScript, C/C++.
- Knowledge of quality engineering and development lifecycle a plus.
- A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
