We use the sport of squash as a catalyst to transform young lives. Our program that begins by selecting children in the 5th grade, educating them with our four pillars and continuing to transform their lives for eight years through high school graduation and then 6 years through college and post-graduate career. During these fundamental years, we provide guidance for building essential life skills to becoming responsible and honorable adults. By creating a culture of healthy lifestyle and exercise, students find the discipline and dedication to unlock their potential and achieve their goals. Beginning June 2021, we opened a state of the art education and squash facility that includes 7 singles courts and a doubles court. It is available to our students as well as paid members. This provides an unusual opportunity to help grow and develop one of the leading squash facilities on the West Coast.

About the Position
Access Youth Academy seeks a committed and enthusiastic Squash Club Manager who is capable of running daily facility operations, manage club memberships, help increase memberships, support the back-office staff, and help build onto our success. The Club
Manager will work closely with the Executive Director, Operations team, Program team, and Front Desk Staff to ensure the successful and seamless management of the Squash Club. The perfect addition to our team, will bring a passion for fitness, organization, and customer service, and be willing to take on new tasks with ease.

Responsibilities

  • Member Management: existing membership management, new membership enrollment, and creating an overall outstanding member experience
  • Managing Club facilities including front desk operations and staff, purchasing supplies, contractor management, program scheduling, member scheduling, marketing communications, events, and other tasks as needed
  • Manage Club communications to members in a timely manner, including regular newsletters, club advertising, email and other correspondence.
  • Working with the Operations Team to manage club finances, revenue streams, and maintaining membership database
  • Providing friendly, high-quality service to members and potential members
  • Promoting and marketing the club externally, as well as to current members to help drive in new membership
  • Planning and executing a range of social, squash, and other community events
  • Communicating news and information to members and potential members using a range of media platforms
  • Managing maintenance and upgrades to the building and facility
  • Encouraging feedback and suggestions, and handling issues raised by members and/or management

Qualifications:

  • Previous Club Management experience preferred, but finding the right fit is everything
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and networking skills
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and inter-personal skills
  • The ability to work closely with Executives, Sponsors, Donors, Club Members, and Program Youth
  • Ability to use a variety of social media platforms, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, and the aptitude to learn more computer-based programs as needed
  • Outstanding speaking, leadership and collaboration skills
  • Able to work Monday-Fridays, and some weekends
  • Adaptability, high energy, creativity, and initiative-taking
  • Strong self-management skills with the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Sensitivity to different cultures and communities with a commitment to youth development

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,600.00 per year
