The Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) organization is going through an important evolution to enable more reliable and consistent delivery of medicines to patients faster. As part of the evolution GPS needs to become a Digital First organization. This means adopting Digital as the core enabler to how it operates. Digital First means leveraging the best of technology, data, analytics, business processes and people to achieve improved business outcomes. A key component of this transformation is enhancing the literacy of our people across these five dimensions. This means upskilling our talent to operate in a Digital operating model, continuously increasing the knowledge around the best use of Digital in the organization and working with HR to ensure we are recruiting talent with the right Digital skills into roles across GPS. The Sr Director, will report to the VP, Digital Innovation and will be responsible for defining the vision and strategy, and building/executing a plan for Digital Literacy within GPS.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive multi-year Digital Literacy vision, strategy, multi-faceted program roadmap that aligns with GPS’ Digital First ambitions and GPS’ overall business strategy. This multi-faced program should:
- Provide foundational knowledge to all of GPS (e.g. differentiation of data, data best practices, difference between AI/ML/descriptive analytics, how to make data based decisions)
- Create avenues for further development of advanced skillsets in the organization (e.g. Application of AI/ML)
- Define, monitor, and assess digital literacy and digital solution adoption KPIs to identify opportunities
- Facilitate transformational change in our digital culture, including communications plans, roadmaps, training plans, and change management plans, including the development of effective stakeholder engagement model.
- Lead the execution of the Digital Literacy program
- Establish quantifiable success metrics and measure the success of the plan
- Partner with the GPS Digital Innovation team, GPS learning, HR and other GPS functions
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring Managers to support identification and attraction of digital talent. Ensure that incoming candidates across GPS have pre-requisite digital skills coming into role.
- Work with GPS Corporate Affairs to create and deploy of awareness campaigns focused on digital capabilities
- Actively participate in GPS Digital governance, ensuring initiatives are supported in development of education to drive success
- Continuously educate and coach GPS business leaders on elements of digital transformation
- Design and deploy effective knowledge management practices for key digital content
- Maintain/develop strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate collaboration
Requirements
- NOT REQUIRED Pharma experience
- Enthusiasm and energy to help transform , with tenacity/perseverance for leading change
- Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, business, data science or information systems with a Masters or MBA preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience in the digital space (technology, data, analytics, process redesign)
- Demonstrated ability to explain digital concepts in a creative and easy to understand way
- The ideal candidate has worked/is working in a similar role
- Proven experience in training and education related to technical subject matter
- Passionate about helping others learn, grow and develop
- Experience in Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, etc.)
- Ability to navigate organization, and identify, align and integrate cross-functional resources into cohesive teams in a highly matrixed environment
- Proven ability to identify innovative ideas through to deployment
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organized and able to prioritize program execution activities to meet multiple deadlines
- Keen business acumen
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $209,000 - $262,000 , plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and the geographic location where work is performed.
