Position
Pacific Catch is seeking a full-time permanent Sr. Payroll Coordinator to work as part of a collaborative Human Resources team. Under the guidance of the HRIS / Payroll Manager, this team member will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and accurate payroll processing utilizing our payroll system, Ultimate Software. This is a hybrid position with some time spent in our Corte Madera corporate office.

This is a full-time, salary, exempt position. Hours may be different every week and schedule may vary.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll in compliance with State (CA) and Federal requirements including FICA, FUTA, SUI
- Ensure bi-weekly payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner; to include changes and needed corrections
- Enter salary adjustments, bonuses, PTO, sick pay and other payroll related data in preparation for payroll processing
- Review computed wages, correct errors, while ensuring the accuracy of earnings
- Processes wage garnishment, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely matter; including the reporting to necessary State office or jurisdiction and assisting employees with the general process
- Assist employees with general payroll questions and educate as needed on company-specific payroll policies
- Manage tasks to ensure efficient employee onboarding and ensure timely processing of employee status changes; including new hires, salary changes, classifications and terminations
- Maintain employee files and update documents to G-suite/Cloud
- Work closely with Human Resources and Accounting on all payroll related financial analysis and issues
- Continuously identify and develop solutions to automate processes and improve efficiency
- Perform quarterly deduction audits to ensure accuracy of benefits and other deductions
- Responsible for incoming and outgoing Human Resource’s mail (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
- Assist colleagues whenever necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in payroll processing
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) is a plus
- 4+ years of payroll experience
- Experience processing payroll for 500+ employees for multi-unit
- Must be familiar with federal and state labor laws, specifically CA.
- Experience with Ultimate Software preferred or ADP WFN, and Paylocity
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Total commitment to detail and quality

COMPENSATION
$60,000-$70,000 per year
