STAFF ACCOUNTANT Job at Sanderson Farms, Inc.
Primary Function:
Provides accurate financial and cost information through effective accounting, and assists the Chief Accountant as needed.
Major Responsibilities :
Performs all duties in area of outside freight.
Receives and records all bills of lading from Sales Clerk, shipped by outside truckers.
Matches bills of landing to trucker invoices and gives to Sales for approval.
Pays all freight invoices.
Verifies and completes the daily inventory report.
Assists the Accounting Clerk in weekly payroll.
Serves as the accounting representative after 5:00 p.m.
Learns the duties of all accounting personnel to assist as needed, and preforms these duties in the absence of accounting personnel.
Performs other duties as directed by Chief Accountant.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Academic: BS in degree in Accounting.
Experience: Three years experience in business accounting or related work area.
Physical : Able to work in various temperatures.
Able to bend, stoop, reach, grasp, twist and kneel.
Able to lift 10 lbs. or more, utilizing proper lifting techniques.
Able to sit for long periods of time, including use of a keyboard.
Able to meet the criteria of the Sanderson Farms, Inc. Non-DOT Motor Vehicle Policy.
