JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

This position will report to the Director of Student Affairs and will assist with providing general support to all staff within the Division of Student Affairs. Student workers in this office will work directly with students, staff, and faculty across campus.

This position will assist with the following areas: General Support of Student Affairs Initiatives: This includes: greet office guests, answer questions and direct to the proper individual(s) across campus, greet students and their guests, data entry into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, make suggestions on how to streamline a process or task that is manual, create presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, staff information tables on campus to promote Student Affairs events, and other administrative duties or special projects as assigned.

Community Service Students will assist with developing, marketing and assessing community services activities on, and off, campus. Diversity & Inclusive Students will assist with developing diversity resources and bulletin board materials. Social Media & Marketing Students will play a role in marketing programs, events and services within Student Affairs through paper marketing, digital signage, social media and tabling throughout campus.

Student Affairs student workers will be tasked with taking photographs at events and sharing those photographs on social media. Qualifications Excellent communication, approachable demeanor, organizational, interpersonal, creativity and collaboration skills preferred. Regular business hours typically with occasional work on evenings or weekends. Experience with Microsoft Office and social media is preferred. Full-time students with work study preferred. Positions will be open until filled.
