Are you in search of meaningful summer work with children? Wicked Cool for Kids has been on a mission since 2007 to get kids excited about STEAM through hands-on learning. When you come to work with us:

We work with your schedule and location to make your summer run smoothly. We plan your schedule around your availability, one week at a time, to make your own customized flexible schedule. Programs run in over 50 locations in New England so we have the ability to assign you in locations that are closest to you.

We provide both in person training and online resources including demonstration videos to prepare you for teaching STEAM activities to kids. Wicked Cool gives you confidence in delivering STEAM programs ensuring that people without a science background can be comfortable with our curriculum.

Lead Teacher Role and Responsibilities

• Manage all on site program operations
• Teach fun science lessons (2-4 per day)
• Interact with clients hosting our programs and parents
• Supervise other staff
• Complete administrative duties including paperwork and communications
• Ensure safety of all children on site

Pay and Work Schedule

• Lead Teacher $25/hour (sole supervisory and teaching responsibilities)
• Co-Teacher $20/hour (shared supervisory and teaching responsibilities)
• Training in curriculum/ STEAM and administrative pay $15/hour
• Flexible work schedule -set by you. We are looking for teachers who wish to work 3-9 weeks full or part time

What you bring

• 1+ years supervisory & teaching experience is required
• Reliable transportation is required
• Must attend summer training/orientation in June
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
• Excitement and enthusiasm to learn and teach Wicked Cool Med School, STEAM Studio, LEGOs and Rocket Science
• Knowledge of Minecraft and Dungeons & Dragons preferred to teach our ultimate specialty nerd programs
