Position Summary: The position will focus on analysis of freight programs, follow up measures, and completing reports and metrics


Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular analysis using Microsoft® Access and Excel in order to support current freight programs and
  • corporate initiatives.
  • Assesses and recommends carriers for the ZF logistical support network.
  • Manage day-to-day relationship between ZF carriers, distribution, and vendor partners.
  • Develop and maintain ZF freight databases; research and compile transportation data and statistics.
  • Review and create business rules for freight audit and payment in adherence with company policy and standards.
  • Work with the corporate logistics group to ensure that ZF designated carriers are in compliance with ZF requirements and federal and state regulations.
  • Provide transportation expertise and guidance to resolve freight issues.
  • Coordinate expedite freight options to ensure material is delivered in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of new logistics processes and providers to support the corporate logistics group with freight projects.
  • Initiate and follow-up with supplier corrective action requests.
  • Prepare charts, graphs, and summarize data for the internal and external customers.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience with analyzing and interpreting transportation/distribution data and related processes
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within supply chain planning.
  • Experience with interpreting and manipulating large amounts of supply chain data.
  • Working knowledge of corporate logistics procedures/processes
  • Proficient (mid-level) with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment
