Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position of Modernization Displacement and Repair Site (MDRS) Supply Technician Lead on a Government contract with a place of performance at El Paso TX.

Position Responsibilities:


The Supply Technician Lead performs all aspects of technical management work related to MDRS property book property book operations, offering immediate tactical level property book accountability relief and customer funded maintenance as requested, in order to expedite displacement for redistribution/divesture of equipment as Army Command (ACOM) to ACOM (bucket 1) external transfers; Internal ACOM Off-Post Lateral Transfer (bucket 2); ACOM to Depot (bucket 3); ACOM Defense Logistics Agency- Disposition Services (DLA-DS) (bucket 4); and frustrated cargo (bucket 5). Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • The Supply Technician Lead is the key assistant to the Supply Supervisor and/or MDRS manager with delegated lead person authority to control and oversee employee in the assigning, monitoring, and performance of daily assigned tasks within the supply section.
  • The Supply Technician uses expertise and judgement to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature, sequence, and workload based on standardized guidelines following program requirements.
  • This position requires a comprehensive knowledge and daily operation of Army Vantage that also includes Funds Verification and Use Authorization (FVUA), Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A), and Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS). In addition, a depth knowledge and understanding of Proposed Source Decisions (PSDs) produced from Decision Support Tool- Lead Material Integrator (DSTLMI).
  • Establish and maintain stock records, records of inventory, materiel control, accounting, and supply reports.
  • Establish and maintain GCSS-Army automated records dealing with post goods receipt, turn-ins, lateral transfer, and performs due-ins and due-outs accounting.
  • In the absence of the Supply Supervisor, reconcile and submit accurate and timely reports, and attend briefings as required.
  • Reconcile activity records for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Operates materiel handling equipment (MHE) as required.
  • Drafts productions reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed, following prescribed formats, maintaining files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed statistics of work progression for use by MDRS employees, contract leadership, or Government representatives as necessary.
  • Comply with environmental laws/regulations, army regulations/policies and related to depot, local, or other supply activities.
  • Responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies, and equipment.
  • Responsible for issue, receipt, and accountability of all property book items, to include sensitive items.
  • Maintains files with Army Record Information Management System (ARIMS).
  • Tracks generated MROs to gaining DEPOT and arrange shipment of directed items, while ensuring that work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident for more than 3 years for CAC/ NACI eligibility
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years of age
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Must have at least five years of experience and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations,
    policies, procedures and instructions property accountability.
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Must have several years of experience in and with military supply and logistics systems at the Unit level or
    above levels.
  • Must be capable of multiple tasking and organizing work force to perform missions that may require the
    supervisor to do a limited physical demonstrative example of tasks required to complete the mission
  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment or alone, including working in hot, dusty, windy areas for
    prolong time periods.
  • Be able to pick up and move items within a 50-lb restriction.
  • Be capable of climbing and working on equipment at 10 feet above ground limit.
  • Be capable of using and understanding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of a 92Y.
  • An understanding of the needs of the organizations serviced and their overall mission completion concerns.
  • A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work
    methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
  • Experience with Logistics Information Systems (LIS) such as Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSSA), Vantage, Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS), and ability to understand Proposed Source Decisions (PSDs) produced from Decision Support Tool- Lead Material Integrator (DST-LMI).
  • Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to quickly research and collect the necessary applicable data, to establish the applicable facts, and to take or recommend action based upon proven applications or interpretation of systematic established guidelines.
  • Consistently performs duties in a warehouse or storage yard or in field or storage area consisting of dusty, dirty, and possible hazardous materials exposure.
