We are hiring several technical writers to help us complete a large project for one of our customers in the electronic hardware industry. Our end customer is a leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, and more energy efficient microchips.

This will be a minimum 6-month contract and will come with PTO, paid holidays, and available benefits (medical, dental, 401k)

Our technical writers will be instrumental in helping our customer overcome a backlog of technical documentation that is important in creating instructions to help end users easily understand complicated processes and safety procedures. The material may help guide and assist users to install/adjust/calibrate/replace a specific piece of technology or understand a specific subject.

Job Description

• Assess the audience and the nature of the documentation
• Organize information according to users’ needs, write/edit, prepare illustrations
• Work from pre-populated technical documents (created by the engineering team) to create drafts in the customer’s proprietary formatting and publishing tool

Desired Skills/Experience

• Recent, proven experience as a functional, independent contributor level technical writer
• Mastery of written and verbal communication
• Proven ability to learn different customer publishing/documentation standards and tools
• Experience with XML editors such as Arbortext
• Experience with Image Processing and Annotations

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
