Essential Duties
This role requires leading and mentoring engineers focused on radiometric test and system performance analysis. Must be capable of decomposing complex concepts, processes, and information and distilling this into a model or architecture with defined interfaces and performance parameters. Responsible for planning, execution, and quality of end-to-end product testing for sensor components and assemblies. Job functions include: deriving relevant flow down product requirements, developing verification and testing plan, performing radiometric testing, ROIC characterization, and configuration and validation of IR test system. In addition, the role requires performing analyses, generating or reviewing test reports, and ensuring results and assessments are succinctly formatted for consideration by the technical team and management.

Required Skills
Minimum of 20 years of experience working in component requirements verification and testing and characterization. Track record of deriving customer needs into testable performance metrics for formal requirement verification. Hand-on experience in test & development laboratory performing radiometric testing and infrared focal plane characterizing in a cryostat. Experience developing radiometric test plan per performance specification. Working knowledge of ROIC circuit operation and device physics. Qualified candidate will have extensive experience with general laboratory equipment as well as blackbodies, integrating spheres, FTIRs, environmental testing, and MATLAB development. Dewar design, knowledge of infrared optics and familiarity with frame-grabber acquisition systems are plusses.
Proficiency in use of computers, engineering work stations, verbal and written communication, interaction with customers/colleagues, and a deadline-driven/fast-paced environment.

Education Required
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or Optics with background in infrared focal planes (IRFPAs)

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000 - $230,000 + bonus + benefits.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
