Therapy Coordinator - North Little Rock Job at Pediatrics Plus
We are currently seeking a Therapy Administrative Coordinator to join our team of highly qualified professionals that share our vision of Empowering Children to Conquer their World! This role provides administrative support for therapy operations with a focus on Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy and Developmental Evaluation processes, and serves as the liaison for communication between site and central administration teams.

What you will do:
- Promote a friendly atmosphere for families, staff and visitors
- Understand the internal processes required for a child to receive services
- Responsible for maintaining communication with Family Relations, Financial Service Coordination, and billing teams for caseload management, including intake, scripts, funding and prior authorization needs
- Understand various funding sources for therapy. Assists in explaining and obtaining financial documents from families
- Assist families in completion of Medicaid enrollment paperwork
- Assist in First Connections Early Intervention Program, including IFSP meetings
- Assist in communication with families and Financial Service Coordination when changes in funding occur
- Maintain multiple excel spreadsheets for patient management that may not be analyzed through deTASO reporting
- Assist with management of therapy caseloads at specified times as guided and directed by the therapy director
- Assist in monitoring the prior authorization and prescription process for OT, PT, ST, and DE services
- Assist with deTASO documentation corrections
- Attend weekly one-on-one meeting with Therapy Director
- Analyzes daily, weekly, and monthly reports prior to one-on-one with Therapy Director
- Assist with administration tasks such as, filing, answering phones, management of working folders, etc.
- Answer or direct e-mails, calls, and in-person questions regarding services appropriately and timely
- Call waiting list bi-monthly to update the family on the status of therapy unless the child is on the afterschool waiting list then calls the family monthly
- Conduct quality assurance measures through post-evaluation calls, patient experience calls, and discharge calls
- Assist in audits from any funding or credentialing entities
- Complete monthly expense report as needed
- Assist site administrative support team in planning events for the site
- Cross trains with Administrative Assistant and ABA Coordinator to support roles as needed
- Assist with tours for families
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Upholds and incorporates the core values, vision, mission and philosophy of Pediatrics Plus into all job responsibilities
- May perform other related and non-related duties, as assigned
Education/ Certification:
Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required
Skills/ Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills which includes a working knowledge of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and internet software
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people

- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment
