Established in 1999, Safety Network is a growing, family-owned Traffic Control company based out of the Central Valley. We provide complete temporary Traffic Control services, from plan and design to providing the right traffic device needed to keep our customers' job site safe and in MUTCD compliance. We offer a complete line of Traffic Control devices that are available on a rental basis, from message boards to traffic cones. Our services include lane closures, road closures, flagging, construction area sign installation, K-rail installation, and much more.

This position is for our Visalia branch, and we are looking for a smart and solution-oriented person to help in the office. The position includes in-house training, but knowledge/experience of Traffic Control Design/Drafting is a plus.

TASKS/DUTIES:

  • Receive direction (explanation of customer needs, timelines, and details of project needs) from the Project Manager and draft a (or a number of) Traffic Control Plans (TCP's).
  • Submit TCP's to approving agency and complete necessary revisions until the TCP is approved.
  • Log and communicate TCP progress/status with the Project Manager.
  • Participate in team meetings and be continuously engaged with the team to ensure time is spent efficiently.
  • Communicate consistently and efficiently with Project Managers, Operations Manager and Dispatch Manager.
  • Keep track of inventory stock.
  • Assist in various Administrative and Clerical duties around the office.

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with RapidPlan (Traffic Control Plan software) is a huge plus, but is not required.
  • Experience working in an office setting, including working with computers and answering phone calls.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Drive.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent ability to work and communicate with customers.
  • Excellent ability to work as a team player.
  • Excellent ability to demonstrate efficient time-management and organizational practices.
  • Ability to spend most of the day in a seated position.
  • Ability to spend time making repetitive motions.
  • Basic important skills, including: active learning, active listening, critical thinking, learning strategies, mathematics, monitoring, reading comprehension, speaking and writing.
