Due to our growth, we have an immediate opening for a Traveling Trainer

Reports to: Director of Operations

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Using the Senior Helpers Training tools and processes, provides all new-hire Caregiver onboarding and training, including hands-on training of the proper use of Durable Medical Equipment (Walkers, Hoyer Lifts, Canes, Gait Belts, etc.), the full scope of ADLs (Activity of Daily Living) from cue and assist to physical support, and educating the caregivers on the rules and regulations leveraging our Employee Handbook.
  • Training will be a mix of videos, lecture-based, and hands on, typically lasting 3-4 hours. Each site has a training room where the training will be conducted.
  • The Traveling Trainer’s home-base would be the office in Camp Hill, PA. Most weeks, the traveling trainer will host one training class per week at each of our five locations:
    • Camp Hill, PA
    • Carlisle, PA (opens Q4 2023)
    • Cleona, PA (opens May)
    • York, PA
    • Sunbury, PA
  • The Trainer will also have access to Relias, the company’s robust online training software. They will assist the Director of Operations in finding and providing additional training to internal staff, leveraging this tool as needs arise

Qualifications

  • Must have experience as a Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or 5 years working in a Nursing Home or other related senior facility
  • Must have strong familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment and providing support for Activities of Daily Living
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience where your primary function was the training of others
  • Must be dynamic, internally driven, and motivated
  • Must be willing to drive to each of the five locations on a weekly basis
  • Must have ability to work independently and as part of a team

Benefits:

  • Base Salary of $45,000 to $50,000 dependent upon experience
