Liberty Healthcare operates a statewide program in Maryland which will provides strategies that enhance the quality of life and help to ensure the health and wellbeing for individuals with developmental disabilities.
To support this initiative, Liberty is now hiring for a full time Utilization Reviewer position.
As a Utilization Reviewer, your daily work will involve:
- Conducting audits of services provided to people with developmental disabilities
- Reviewing and analyzing Medicaid claims
- Analyzing actual services provided against contracted service levels and hours
- Conducting in-person and phone/video interviews of individuals served as well as their caregivers
- Writing summary reports
You will use various computer databases – including the State of Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration Provider Consumer Information System (PCIS2) and Liberty Healthcare’s proprietary database.
This position offers:
- Starting salary range of $50,000 to $55,000
- 30 days of paid time off annually
- Health insurance
- Reimbursement for approved work-related mileage
In this role you will primarily work remotely from your home office. Some travel throughout the region is required (estimated at 30%). Travel will involve day trips and sites visits to locations in Garrett, Allegheny, Washington, Frederick and Carroll Counties.
You are a good fit for this position if you have a Bachelor’s degree, solid computer skills, and prior experience in one of the following areas:
- Supporting people who have developmental disabilities
- Service coordination
- Case management
- Prior authorizations
- Claims reviews
- Healthcare billing
- Analyzing healthcare or human services data
Familiarity with the State of Maryland’s Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) is very helpful.
