Summary:

The primary responsibility of Visual Merchandiser/Sales Associate position is to work with store managers and store sales associates to effectively implement merchandising plans and cross merchandise displays throughout the store. The Visual Merchandiser will bring fresh display ideas to drive sales and customer engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties for this position include but are not limited to:

1. Develop, document and execute merchandise plans for an assortment of products to be sold in each category in order to meet established sales and profit goals at all locations.

2. Facilitate the execution and implementation of the approved seasonal floor plans and product layout, including fixture placement for both inside and outside products and display areas.

3. Merchandise products in any and all product categories as well as on specific marketing projects.

4. Schedule and determine cross merchandising plans for all departments within stores.

5. Conduct observations at stores to analyze guest traffic flow, ideal product and display positioning, making recommendations as necessary.

6. Photograph outstanding display ideas and distribute to all stores by maintaining a merchandising photo book for each season. Promote the sharing of these ideas from store to store and for submission and consideration for any merchandising awards or contests.

7. Plan bi-weekly displays for each corporate end cap, utilizing seasonally appropriate products.

8. Assist in ensuring that signage, product display, store layout and cleanliness are addressed and maintained at an acceptable standard.

9. Attend training and development sessions or courses for advancement in product or merchandising knowledge.

10. Enthusiastically encourage teamwork within the store and with all other departments in the company.

11. Attend various trade shows, seminars, design shows and other related events as assigned and required.

12. Attend corporate and departmental meetings as required.

13. Take on other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Knowledge necessary to perform the job:

Must have exceptional visual merchandising abilities, ability to easily establish rapport with Buyers and be sought out by associates at store location, and work with them to implement/execute corporate goals and strategy.

Experience:

Required: A minimum of two years of visual merchandising experience in related position.

Desirable: 5+ years of sales experience in visual merchandising with proven ability to put together award winning displays.
