We are looking for an effective Warehouse Assistant Manager to direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations for our delivery services. You will oversee the whole operations at our Morrisville location. You will provide value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products.
Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all distribution processes are running smoothly and promptly.
Responsibilities
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
- Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
- Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
- Produce reports and statistics regularly
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
The Warehouse Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the company's warehouse and coordinating the activities of multiple warehouse employees. This position requires a commitment to quality customer service and excellence in problem solving, as the Warehouse Assistant Manager works with various teams and departments in an effort to develop and implement operational logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that employees are using safe practices while driving forklifts.
- Ensure that employees are using safe practices while loading and unloading trucks.
- Supervise the transportation of products.
- Supervise employees during shifts to ensure that they are performing their tasks properly.
- Test whether products meet quality standards.
- Ensure proper inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations of forklifts and other equipment.
- Know the federal, state, and local regulations for product transportation.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
