• The Guard Shack Worker is responsible for directing visitors and truckers to various parts of grounds or buildings. Inspects outgoing traffic to prevent unauthorized removal of company property or products and assure loads are secured properly

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*

• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Controls traffic by directing drivers.
• Signs trucks and personnel in when advised or during Heighten Alerts.
• Guards entrance gate of warehouse or other property to control traffic to and from buildings and grounds: Opens gate to allow entrance or exit of employees, truckers, and authorized visitors.
• Checks credentials or approved roster before admitting anyone.
• Directs visitors and truckers to various parts of grounds or buildings.
• Inspects outgoing traffic to prevent unauthorized removal of company property or products and assure loads are secured properly
• May record number of trucks or other carriers entering and leaving.
• May perform maintenance duties, such as mowing lawns and sweeping gate areas.
• May require permits from employees for tools or materials taken from premises.
• May record arrival and departure of employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education/Experience: 1 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Math Ability: must have the ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's as well as the ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• 1 year of warehouse experience preferred (We are willing to train the right individual.)
• The ability to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment – continuously lifting and moving up to 50lbs
• The ability to meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards
• Excellent customer service required
• Overtime/Weekends will be required during peak/seasonal volumes
• Required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time
• Must be eligible to work in the US - We participate in EVerify
