JOB SUMMARY:

The Wellness Assistant is responsible to assist with the social, spiritual, therapeutic, and other wellness needs of the residents through activities, programming and continued interaction with community groups.

KEY RESULTS AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

· Collect data to assist in the assessment process documentation.

· Facilitate daily events and programming to meet the needs to the residents.

· Perform one on one interaction to enhance quality of life.

· Implement Plan of Care.

· Document work performed as indicted.

· Assist with development of wellness programming.

· Promotes the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice by bringing the Mission and Core Values into the day-to-day activities of the company.

· Performs other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned by the Director of Wellness.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

· Must be at least 16 years of age.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Experience in long term care

· CPR certification

· First Aid Certification

KNOWLEDGDE, SKILLS AND ABLILTIES

· Excellent communication skills.

· Strong desire to work with the elderly

· Ability to read, write and communicate in English

· Ability to draw conclusions from written or computer-generated materials

· Ability to make decisions from limited information

· Ability to routinely handle multiple priorities and make non-routine or unexpected judgements.

· Ability to apply procedures and implement recommendations by coordinating persons and/or other resources.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
