Homeyer Precision Manufacturing is looking for an experienced EDM Programmer/Operator to join our team. This position requires extensive Wire EDM machining and programming knowledge and the ability to provide hands-on technical support in a production environment. In addition to the technical ability, we are looking for someone with strong organization, communication and people skills.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform programming to setup and operate wire EDM machine.
• Produce parts to specification; verify parts meet extremely close tolerance dimensions, alignments, and specifications.
• Analyze blueprints and engineering drawings to determine part dimensions and cut configurations. Determine type/size of cutting tool according to metal stock on machine fixture.
• Observe machining of first parts to verify programming accuracy.
• Inspects “first part” and inspects work pieces throughout the production run for out-of-tolerance machining.
• Continuously look for innovative ways to improve processes, reduce waste, increase throughput, improve efficiencies and maximize machine palletization.
• Maintain clean machines and work area.
• Works well under pressure, to adhere to deadlines and the ability to be flexible

Position Qualifications:

• Experience setting/up Wire EDM machines or willingness to learn.
• Requires a very high degree of precision and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and other required documents
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment
• Ability for operate AGIE Charmilles Progress machine is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
