DESCRIPTION
The Woodshop Drafter/CNC Programmer is responsible for operating our factory machines that turn raw materials into functional manufactured parts. This position is responsible for reading and interpreting design blueprints, programming the CNC machine, and adjusting the machine settings until the desired specifications are met. Using analytical skills to read and comprehend complex blueprints, models and drawings to create solutions as per requirement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare new project design layouts, parts, and assembly drawings.
Work with production to assist with material sourcing, design specifications and various components.
Produce toolpath/CAM for Woodshop CNC routing machines, setup and maintain tooling library for multiple CNC routing machines.
Design Woodshop manufactured parts in CAD (Computer Aided Design) and verify all customer specifications are met.
Define detailed design drawings to support assembly, cabinet/woodshop components, make to print parts (internal and external. fabricated parts), BOM (Bill Of Materials) creation/revision control, ECO (Engineering Change Order) creation and approval.
Collaborate with Engineering Production Support to resolve manufacturing shop floor questions and issues as required.
Drive component reuse, standardization, and cost reduction for all vehicle builds.
Utilize and maintain PDM (Product Data Management) software
Other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
Manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 75 lbs.
Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.
Woodworkers may encounter machinery noise and wood dust.
Normal range of hearing and vision.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required)
Design/Build experience in a cabinet/woodshop environment or related field (required)
AutoCAD and/or Solidworks experience (required)
2 years CAD/CAM experience (required)
4 years CNC Router operator experience
B_SOLID experience (Biesse’s CAD/CAM software) (preferred)
BOM creation experience (preferred)
ERP experience (preferred)
Continuous improvement and cost improvement experience (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $38.50 per hour
