QUESTIONS
Teach undergraduate course(s) in Exercise Science and Kinesiology within the Health Careers Division. The faculty member will be responsible for delivering course content, assessing student performance, and providing feedback to students in the Exercise Science program.
A. Teach and deliver undergraduate courses in Exercise Science and Kinesiology, using various instructional methods, including lectures, discussions, and laboratory activities.
B. Assess student performance, provide regular feedback to students, and act as a learning resource to a diverse student population.
C. Collaborate with other faculty members to develop course content and instructional material.
D. Respond to student inquiries in a timely fashion.
E. Follow all college policies and procedures related to instruction, grading, and other academic activities.
F. Maintain accurate records of student performance and submit grades in a timely manner.
G. Assist student in achieving the completion of the learning outcomes.
H. Ensure that all courses meet the requirement for program standards.
I. Follows the policies and procedures of the college as stated in the KCC Adjunct Faculty Handbook and the KCC Adjunct Faculty Association Contract.
J. Maintains regular contact with the division dean.
Other Responsibilities:
A. Will primarily work in a classroom setting.
B. Performs other duties as required or assigned by the program director.
C. May require some evening and weekend work.
D. May attend the commencement program.
E. May require the ability to stand for extended periods and to lift and carry equipment and supplies as needed.
A. Master’s degree in Exercise Science or related field or a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in a related field.
B. A minimum of two years of teaching experience in Exercise Science or related field is preferred.
C. Demonstrate knowledge of current research and trends in Exercise Science.
D. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
E. Demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and student learning.
F. Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty members and staff.
