We are currently seeking candidates for an experienced bartender who wants to be a part of a fun, fast-paced, upscale Mexican restaurant. All employees are primarily responsible for providing a fun and hospitable customer experience.
Our ideal candidate have passion, commitment and expertise in all aspects of the restaurant industry. It is important that candidates understand the importance of training and cultivating team members and creating a positive work environment. HOSPITALITY FOCUSED INDIVIDUALS ONLY! Responsibilities:
- Provide full bar service that includes preparing wine, beer, cocktails, and creates new cocktails to the menu
- Assume responsibility for the quality of guests' experience and maintain guest focus
- Interact with guests, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Train other bar staff in the service standards and policies
- Inform guests about ingredients and components of all food and beverage items as necessary
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Ensure the cleanliness of the bar area (counters, tables, equipment, and floors, etc.)
- Fill in as a server as necessary to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Requirements:
- 3+ years of bartending experience in a casual restaurant environment
- Deep knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, including recipes, history, base ingredients, and bar tools
- Basic customer service etiquette, being friendly and welcoming to guests
- Work well with other bartenders, servers and kitchen staff
- Ability to work fast and multi-task
- Ability to deal with stressful situations and have great communication skills
- Attention to details, closing out tabs, cleaning, stocking inventory
- Exceptionally reliable, responsible, honest, organized, and independent
- Punctual, strong work ethic, quick-working, and committed to excellence
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
- Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Five years’ experience as a fine dining server and/or previous manager/supervisor experience.
- Food Handling certificate
- Adheres to core values; passion; partnership, and integrity.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Proficient written communication skills.
- Proficient in basic computer usage such as email, ordering and POS systems.
- Aptitude for organization and administrative tasks.

- Regular and consistent on-site attendance.
- Ability to stand and work with hands and arms for at least eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week.

- Work under pressure with changing, ambiguous priorities.
- Communicate effectively and promptly to coworkers.
- High level of manual dexterity to safely utilize knives and kitchen/restaurant equipment.
- Auditory and visual skills – Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to work overtime occasionally at the last minute.
- Continuous physical activity including frequent walking, standing, twisting, sitting, bending, lifting, reaching, kneeling, stooping, crawling, wiping, climbing, and occasionally pushing and pulling items weighing 50 pounds for distances of up to 20 ft.;
- Ability to perform moderately strenuous physical work and withstand temperatures of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or less and 100 degrees Fahrenheit or more;
- Be able to adeptly use restaurant equipment;
