A Buyer/Planner at JBT works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where multi-tasking, prioritizing, and organization is a must! This position will ensure that parts and components are procured in a timely manner to meet production deadlines and is responsible for communication across departments to ensure that customer delivery dates are met.
Schedule: 7 am - 3:30 pm (Monday - Friday)
- Procurement activities supporting Fresh Produce Technologies (FPT) equipment product line
- Planning FPT Equipment projects to meet contractual requirements and delivery date
- Close collaboration with engineering, production, and vendors to create project timelines and priorities
- Managing all work order processing related to equipment projects
- Inventory management to ensure products required to support the equipment business are available as needed
Mandatory Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Experience in ERP/MRP; JD Edwards experience a plus.
- 3+ years in a planning/purchasing position
- Complete working knowledge of fully integrated business systems
- Proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
- Extreme organization and prioritizing skills required
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
- APICS and/or CPM Certified
- Experience in Mechanical Power Transmission Industry or Products
