Position Title: Catering Coordinator
Department: Catering
Reports to: Catering Director
Supervises: None
Position Summary: The position is responsible for promoting and booking the Club’s facilities for banquets, meetings and other related rentals, as well as Club social and corporate functions. The position also develops contracts for services and works with other departments to ensure that events are executed to a high degree. The Catering Staff will also be expected to go above and beyond to deliver memorable events, while bringing a high level of energy and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Four or more years’ experience in a similar position
- Ability to work scheduled hours including, when necessary, holidays and weekends
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Lifting, bending, twisting, reaching crouching, and crawling throughout the course of the job
- Being on your feet for an extended period of time
Job Duties:
- Serves as a positive role model by:

- Working with peers to meet the needs of the team
- Representing the Club well in its relationships with members and vendors
- Continually provides services in the areas of:
- Exceeding the expectations of members and their guests, while representing the Club to the highest standards
- Providing tours and offering suggestions in efforts to sell the Club’s facilities
- Assisting in the creation of Banquet Packages
- Assisting in the training of all Banquet Staff on event and catering procedures
- Reviewing all functional space with Banquet Operations Director prior to each event
- When necessary, supervising the execution of events
- Handling member and guest complaints
- Maintaining past and potential client lists
- Assisting guests with special needs such as decorations, printed menus and audio/visual needs
- Confirming contracts and maintaining accurate record keeping for all events
- Impeccable service and social perceptiveness
- Ability to evaluate guest satisfaction and responsiveness
- Continually seek to enhanced knowledge and skills related to service
- Maintaining self-awareness of members’, management and peers
- Assumes responsibility for the department by:
- Maintaining banquet and storage areas in a neat, clean and orderly manner
- Prioritizing and clearly communicating with the Food and Beverage Director and the Banquet Staff concerning ongoing projects
- Results on which performance will be evaluated but are not limited to:
- Being attentive to the needs of the members
- General behavior and language
- Maintaining good hygiene and a professional appearance
