In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Position Purpose
Active member of the site capacity department responsible for communications related to IFP site Clayton expansion. Accountable to plan, develop & implement internal communication strategies to support the project. Coordinate with IFP site communication, Novo Nordisk Inc., (NNI), Future AP & PSQIT on all external communications, as warranted. Collaborate with other NN communication professionals, as warranted. Develop & execute communication plans, coach & develop others to support communications & change management activities for successful implementation of projects, initiatives & strategies related to the project. Manage events/tours/visitors, as required.
Accountabilities
- Partner with site capacity management & IFP site Clayton Communication Partner to develop & implement communication plans according to business needs, including strategy comprehension, change management &organizational culture
- Support the PAAC Steering group on employer branding & other projects, including expansion-related community & neighbor relations activities, milestone celebrations & announcements
- Develop & implement communication plans aligned with corporate, AP expansion & IFP communication priorities & strategy
- Coach & develop leaders in effective communication strategies
- Develop tools & methods to reduce communication gaps between senior leadership & shop floor, project management to specialists, existing IFP employees & contractors, including All-Employee meetings, team building & seminars, etc. Provide leaders with feedback & advise on communication plans, messaging & execution
- Execute on tactics supporting external communications, employer branding & public affairs strategy in alignment with priorities of IFP & the expansion project management, NNI Corporate Communications, Future AP, PSQIT & NNPILP Government & Public Affairs
- Drive strategy for expansion project-related communication channel solutions (SharePoint, digital news, digital signage, digital workplace applications, SMS messaging etc.)
- Support management team with direction, troubleshooting & best practices
- Plan & execute processes, materials & meetings to establish local site capacity strategy & IFP expansion strategy
- Drive & support the site capacity management team through the change management process needed to develop future production areas & process as well as developing the future organization
- Support the program business plan & site reviews
- Prepare presentations & remarks for site capacity Project Director for lateral & elevated audiences
- Drive & support cross-organizational project management activities
- Develop policy & ensure compliance to local Visitor Policy in partnership with EHS & Facility Services
- Other accountabilities, as assigned
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Organizational Communications, Public Relations, Organizational Development, or related field; or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience required in communication development, effective communication campaigns or similar work
- Change management experience
- Outstanding written, verbal & public speaking communication skills
- Outstanding organization & planning skills for development & execution of programs
- Advanced knowledge & experience with MS PowerPoint
- First line support & coordination with third-party vendor activities
- Proficient in MS SharePoint & other Microsoft applications
- Proficient with photography, video editing & production skills
- Experience using a variety of design & editing tools & software such as Adobe Suite

Physical & Other Requirements
- Occasionally moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions
- Constantly operates a computer & other office equipment using hands
- Ability to travel domestically & internationally, up to 10% of the time
- Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction
- Ability to work the hours necessary to support a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation
- Ability to adjust schedule to work with colleagues in other international time zones
