Overview:

Our Manager, Community Engagement will work with leaders across the firm to manage the firm’s community involvement, racial justice & equity practice group, charitable contributions, and other community engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the firm’s national partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA), including working with the firm’s BCGA committee and chair and office representatives to plan various events and projects throughout the year, track BCGA initiatives, and report on same. Coordinate with the Chief Administrative Officer and our offices on our BGCA/Street Law internship program.
  • Manage the firm’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day events, including organizing the firm’s oratory competition and volunteers, assisting with hosting and publicizing the events, and more.
  • Provide support and direction to the firm’s Racial Justice & Equity Practice Group, including planning practice group meetings, tracking and reporting on the work of the practice group, and collaborating with Business Development & Marketing on marketing collateral for the group, internal communications, and external PR opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Office Administrators and others on the firm’s community involvement across offices, helping track and publicize opportunities and involvement, and where appropriate and in conjunction with Business Development & Marketing, assist with community involvement opportunities with key clients.
  • Develop & administer a process for vetting, tracking and reporting on firm charitable contributions.
  • Assist with the firm’s responsible business practices, including data tracking and reporting for the social aspect of the firm’s ESG efforts.
  • Work with firm leadership to identify and implement other community engagement and social impact initiatives and programs.
  • Ability to travel and work outside traditional business hours as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in non-profit, community service, legal practice, marketing & business development, talent/human resources, and/or other relevant roles required.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with various constituencies; proven networking skills.
  • Background in and enthusiasm for community service and other social impact initiatives.
