Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a disciplined and talented data engineer who is passionate about solving problems and improving the lives of people. SEL develops critical products that provide the main interface for protecting, controlling, monitoring, and analyzing the power grid. Our team supports a wide variety of internal customers, including Finance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales. We would like a well-rounded individual to collaborate with us to build scalable data solutions that delight our customers and make their day-to-day lives better.
As a Data Engineer, a typical day might include the following:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines that move data from various sources to the appropriate storage solution all while ensuring that the data is accurate, consistent, and secure.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to building enterprise reporting models.
- Optimizing our data solutions for performance and scalability.
- Building solutions with technologies like SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Stream Analytics, SSIS, SSAS, and Power BI Premium

Pullman, WA- SEL’s corporate office is located in Eastern Washington where you'll enjoy an unmatched quality of life. Pay Range Data
We anticipate filling this position as a Data Engineer $66,800 - $104,600. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
