Key Responsibilities:
- Machinist will be expected to set-up and Lathes, ID and OD grinders and surface grinders for appropriate task
- Perform various types of grinding such as turbine blade tips, shroud, and spacers.
- Perform other duties as required such as component disassembly, cleaning and balancing of rotors following machining.
- Perform other related duties of a comparable or lower skill level as required to facilitate machining operations and maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Comply with environmental/safety regulations and program requirements to ensure safe working conditions and to preserve a healthy working environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6+ years of experience or an Associates Degree or other 2 -year post high school training with a minimum of 4+ years in related trades training, such as: manual machining and grinding (ID, OD and surface grinding)
- US Citizenship required due to Government Contracts
Preferred Qualifications:
- FAA A&P License
- Ability to use a variety of precision measuring instruments
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical drawings
- Ability to perform basic math functions in order to calculate required machining dimensions
- Ability to obtain a FAA repairman’s certificate if non-A&P certified
- Experience in the machinability of a wide variety of materials and speeds, feeds, and cutting tools so associated, and the various work holding methods and devices

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
