JOB SUMMARY
The Field Services Technician provides support of Facilities Management for the network. This position requires technical expertise in Building Maintenance, HVAC and Energy Management Systems, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and other trades. Completes and records regulatory compliance documentation for ADEQ, Life Safety Code, Fire Alarm Testing, Annual Fire Extinguisher Testing including Fire Sprinkler Testing and Emergency Generator Testing as applicable, and any other regulatory compliance documentation. Documents work in Computerized Maintenance Management System. Completes preventative and corrective work requests, monitors quality indicators, and performs other assigned functions. This position must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, be able to make quick and accurate decisions, and maintain communication with customers, vendors, and management to support patient care and customer satisfaction. Contracts with vendors as necessary. Collaborates with Landlords as outlined in property lease agreements.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inspects and repairs HVAC, plumbing, and other building equipment and systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications.
  • Determines material or replacement needs and a logical method for repair; including contracting vendors as needed.
  • Ensures local, state, and national codes are followed and proper materials are used throughout building systems.
  • Performs safety checks.
  • Develops and maintains records related to building system equipment in the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Verifies equipment and building systems maintain efficient operation while meeting the demands of the building’s occupants.
  • Responds to customer requests in a timely and friendly manner, resolving issues and problems with a high standard of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Maintains required certifications and licensing; keeps current on applicable laws, rules, regulations, standards, and codes related to assigned equipment.
  • Attends, participates, and/or assists in meetings, trainings, community outreach activities, continuing education opportunities, and other activities as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS


Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Thorough understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical principles and design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to follow highly complex directions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Vocational, Specialized, or Technical training in related field preferred.
  • Electronic Controls Certification, Refrigeration School Certificate, and/or related certifications preferred
