The Riviera Country Club is interested in hiring professional & responsible, service-oriented Part Time Golf Pro Shop Assistants to join our team. The Golf Pro Shop Assistant is responsible for overseeing the Pro Shop, managing the driving range fees, setting up tee times and any additional member golf functions needed in the store.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the entire golf operation including tee time reservations; registration of golfers; retail operation; and practice range. Open and closes the Golf Professional Shop.
  • Field and respond promptly in a positive manner to any member and/or guest concerns.
  • Ensure the Golf Shop is neat and clean environment that is presentable for the membership.
  • Manage the phones, which involves putting calls on hold to answer another line.
  • Oversee the tee time operation. Monitor tee sheet, practice sessions and golf lesson to be aware of the days schedule and ensure accurate record keeping of daily retail and tee time transactions.
  • Ensure that merchandise in the golf shop is properly displayed and the Golf Shop is clean and neat.
  • Coordinate the special-order process from the Golf Pro Shop.
  • Work with the Accounting Department to reconcile member billing disputes.
  • Assist all Golf Professional with day-to-day operation.
  • Strive for and maintain clear channels of communication between golf operations and all other departments at Riviera Country Club.
  • Communicate and set example of high safety standards in keeping with Club policy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication skills required- bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
