Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
Arnold School of Public Health (ASPH) is seeking an Human Resources Administrative Assistant to undertake a variety of administrative and personnel activities. The HR Administrative Assistant will assist the ASPH Director of Human Resources with onboarding and reappointing all employees for the school. The added value of this position will be in supporting work to recruit and retain top talent for ASPH. This position will also assist in tracking, reviewing, and approving various human resources actions, including but not limited to, creating, updating, and/or reviewing position descriptions, job postings, and preparing new hire actions. Will be responsible for maintaining all personnel records (both paper and electronic) to ensure employment requirements are met. In addition to conducting file audits and creating all new and required hire files.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft, PowerPoint, adobe. Knowledge of federal and state laws, policies, procedures, rules and regulations related to human resources. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and operate successfully in an independent role as well as in a team. The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively manage data from various sources and systems. Strong time management and organizational skills.

This is a band 5 position with the minimum salary of $35,360 and the midpoint of $50,394. Salary will be commensurate with experience. The experience will be used to determine a salary above the minimum for the finalist.
