INVENTORY COORDINATOR Job at Bloedorn Lumber
SUMMARY:
Reports to and assists the Inventory Director in overseeing inventory levels and best practices.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Update the inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures for all yard locations.
- Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems.
- Prepare detailed inventory reports (i.e., operation, stock levels, and adjustments).
- Analyze different suppliers to obtain the most cost-effective deals.
- Attend and participate in job knowledge educational opportunities, read professional publications, maintain personal networks, and participate in professional organizations.
- Attend and participate in Bloedorn-sponsored training, when required.
- Perform other assigned duties, responsibilities, or tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Inventory Coordinator must:
- Complete and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, background screen, and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Speak, write, and communicate effectively in the English language.
- Write reports, memos, and correspondence.
- Interpret written, oral, diagrams, and schedule-form instructions.
- Possess creativity, strategy, analytical, organizational, and personal sales skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The Inventory Coordinator will:
- Work in an indoor office setting.
- Occasionally lift/move objects up to 50 pounds, stand, and walk.
- Regularly sit, use hands, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear.
