Overview:
FORT WORTH, TX (OPEN TO ALL US CANDIDATES) – The most amazing family in the Crestline neighborhood of west Fort Worth seeks a FULL-TIME NANNY for their two girls, ages 2.5- and 4.5 years old. The eldest will be attending Pre-Kindergarten 5 days per week in the fall from 8:30am-3:30pm. She has 1-2 enrichment activities in the afternoon, such as gymnastics or soccer. Her little sister will be attending a preschool program at a different school 3 mornings per week – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am-12pm. She has other activities Tuesdays and Thursdays such as swimming, music class, or soccer. The nanny will be responsible for afterschool pickup and taking the children to and from their activities. A nanny car is provided for use while on the job. Must have a valid driver’s license and a squeaky-clean driving record!

They seek a nanny who can work 40 hours per week (guaranteed) and can manage all afterschool pick-ups, activities, and can then make and serve a simple healthy dinner for the kids around 6pm. Examples include salmon, broccoli, rice or chicken, pasta, etc. General hours, when school is in session, are from 11:30am- 7/7:30 Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and from 7:30am-7pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. The hours can be flexible for a later start date on Tuesdays and Thursdays, around 10am. During school closures and breaks when parents are working, the nanny will be required to start earlier and work fuller days, but advance notice will be provided. They would love someone who is open to working late 1-2 nights per week (usually not past 10pm during the weekdays). Generally, there is 1 weeknight and a Friday evening. There will be some overnights approximately once a quarter that may fall on weekends. They ask for flexibility to stay with the girls at their house during these weekends, as they have no family in the state. They offer flexibility but expect flexibility in return!

They travel domestically as a family and would love for their nanny to join them! Their travels often take them to their home in Big Sky, MT during the holidays (they do not expect their nanny to work over major holidays and would fly them home 2x per year), over spring break, and for 2-3 weeks in the summer. When they travel, the nanny will always have a private room and private bathroom.

They have a part-time housekeeper who is responsible for the laundry and also helps care for the youngest from time to time. They would like a nanny who is a team player and isn’t above pitching in when needed. No heavy cleaning, as they have a cleaning service once per week. Duties other than complete childcare include loading/unloading the dishwasher, pitching in to keep the home neat and tidy and teaching the children how to clean up after themselves and their play areas.

Both girls are incredibly outgoing, busy, and full of sunshine! They love to play outside, ride their scooters, play with their friendly lab (must love dogs!), and walk on the neighborhood trails. The eldest enjoys puzzles and reading, while the youngest loves to build with blocks, paint, and play with play dough! Both girls love gymnastics, tumbling, and putting on pretend ballet performances.

They seek a nanny who is outgoing, playful, and engaging. Someone with an upbeat attitude who takes the initiative to plan creative and fun activities both in the home and out around town! They value creativity, enthusiasm, and patience. They desire a nanny who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, be active, and physically play with the girls! They need someone who is experienced with child development and can partner with parents to appropriately discipline, as well as teach manners and behavior modification. Someone who is loving yet firm, with the confidence and experience to appropriately redirect the children if they test boundaries. They value consistency and reliability, as both parents work demanding jobs and have little flexibility in their schedules for their nanny to call out. Must be vaccinated for the flu and tdap.

They are looking for a nanny who is a strong communicator. Someone who is direct about their needs and what is required to be successful in the position, and someone who will make sure parents are on the same page with their daughters’ development and any potential issues. They have had the same long-term nanny since their eldest was an infant and are looking for the same long-term partnership with their next caregiver. They respect, value, and treat their caregivers like family and are looking for someone who can become a true member and grow with them as their family grows.

Pay is commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid sick days, holidays, and vacation (1 week of the family’s choosing and 1 week of the nanny’s choosing), as well as a healthcare stipend and 2 flights home per year. Start date is August 1st!

Qualifications:
BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study

CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)

Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position

A passion for working with children

Two+ years childcare experience

Excellent work and personal references

U.S. driver's license (this does not apply to NYC residents)

Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership

Fluent in English/Bilingual a plus

Competent swimmer

Non-smoker

Willing to go through extensive Background Check

Must be Live-Scanned and registered with Trustline if CA resident

Willingness to show proof of immunizations

No-cell phone driving signed guarantee
