Skin Synthesis is looking for a passionate and experienced full-time Patient Concierge/Medical Assistant who is interested in joining a growing collaborative practice.

Position Overview:
The Patient Concierge/Medical Assistant’s primary responsibility is to provide excellence in patient care, conforming to licensing requirements and standards, in accordance with the philosophy of Skin Synthesis. In addition, the candidate will participate in customer service, including but not limited to, checking patients in & out of appointments, taking clinical photographs, answering incoming calls, processing payments, and aiding in scheduling/re-booking. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clean, stocked, & safe clinic environment, in support of Skin Synthesis’ mission and core values. The candidate will assist the providers with setting up for aesthetic injectable & skincare procedures, drawing blood, and other clinical services.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Greet all patients as they enter Skin Synthesis and introduce them to the practice and providers.
- Perform receptionist duties including answering patient phone calls/emails, scheduling, taking payment, and other duties as assigned.
- Serve as initial contact for all new patient inquires.
- Develop and maintain internal patient databases; identify target patients for emailing and phone calls.
- Review pricing and/or financing options with patients.
- Facilitate scheduling future appointments.
- Send check-in emails/texts to patients following aesthetic treatments.
- Provide high quality patient education to patients using Skin Synthesis Practice Manuals.
- Assist with patient intake forms in the electronic medical record.
- Successful skincare product sales.
- Competently use Microsoft Office (proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel), electronic medical record system, and possess the ability to learn new technologies.
- Participate in social media and clinic marketing/outreach.
- Other special projects or tasks as assigned.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for the patients.
- Assist with clinical procedures, as needed.
- Perform blood draws and prepare platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
- Ensure that treatment notes are completed by the provider.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Order and stock medical supplies if required.
- Follow detailed policies/protocols.
Professional Responsibilities:

- Treat all patients and team members with respect and integrity.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Possess a thorough working knowledge of all Skin Synthesis’ medical protocols, standard operating procedures, and policies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing clinical policies/procedures and suggests improvements.
- Participate in meetings, conferences/seminars, promotional events, trainings and other educational and business events on a regular basis.
- Commit to achieving established clinic goals provided by the practice manager and the owner.
- Collaborate with all medspa teammates to ensure the growth of the business and the integrity of the Skin Synthesis’ mission and vision.

Education/Training:
- High school diploma required; some college coursework in healthcare or business preferred.
- Graduate of accredited Certified Assisting Program or Registered Medical Assisting Program.
- Must have and maintain a current CMA or RMA license, BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting with preferred education and experience in a dermatology, plastic surgery, or medical spa office.
- Customer service or leadership experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Physical Demands Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient’s manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Exposure to Hazards:
Exposure to chemicals and disinfectants. Exposure to bodily fluids, latex, as well as a risk to exposure of Infectious Disease.
Vaccination:
Skin Synthesis is consistent with state public health orders and policies, requiring employees to show proof vaccination. Medical and religious exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine are available to those who qualify. Employees who have approved exemptions must follow additional protocols where required, such as enhanced COVID-19 testing, mandatory vaccine-related education/discussions, and/or other infection prevention requirements in accordance with company policy, CDC or state and local public health government orders.
