The Opportunity
UCHealth has an exceptional opportunity for the position of President, Longs Peak Hospital & Broomfield Hospital, located in the beautiful community in Boulder County.
The President, UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital & Broomfield Hospital, has overall accountability for producing desired results associated with service excellence, quality clinical outcomes, market share maintenance/expansion, exceptional operational results and financial integrity. The President is highly visible in the community, at the facility, region and system levels, and is responsible for the development and management of growth plans, efficient utilization of resources, continued adoption of innovation, and program development. This position is responsible for developing and fostering positive relationships with all constituents including medical staff, employees, volunteers, external agencies, and the community. This leadership position is also responsible for the development of short and long-term plans for carrying out the goals and objectives of the health system. This position serves as the principal link between hospital activities, UCHealth, the community, the local Boards, and medical staff.
UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital is a 71-bed community hospital providing a wide range of treatments, surgeries, and diagnostic tests to Longmont, Firestone, Frederick, Dacono, Erie and Mead. Longs Peak has achieved excellent quality and safety scores in addition to superior experience ratings from patients. This past fiscal year, Longs Peak staff and providers delivered more than 883 babies, cared for 3,251 admitted patients, and provided more than 29,697 emergency and outpatient visits. Sitting at nearly 5,000 feet and just below the foothills in Boulder County, Longmont is a diverse, multicultural, and welcoming city, where it's easy for people to make connections and thrive as part of the community. The many nonprofit, civic, and cultural organizations of Longmont encourage locals to become involved. With more than 300 days of sunshine, you can spend your free time enjoying the great outdoors. Specific Responsibilities
UCHealth Broomfield Hospital provides advanced, close-to-home care for patients in Broomfield and Boulder counties. UCHealth Broomfield Hospital is a 38-bed community hospital serving Broomfield, Westminster, Boulder and surrounding communities. It opened in 2016 and is poised to grow with the community. This past fiscal year, Broomfield Hospital staff and providers cared for 588 admitted patients to med/surg; 502 rehab admitted patients, and provided more than 11,197 emergency visits. From minor injuries, illness and asthma to sprains, fractures and more complex medical conditions, we're fully equipped with everything you need to diagnose, treat and begin the healing process. The hospital also houses an Inpatient Rehab Facility, a partnership with Boulder Community Health.
This position serves to oversee the total function of UCHealth Longs Peak and Broomfield Hospitals under the guidance of the mission, strategy and policies established by the governing body and provides regular communication to the President of Diversified Services and Denver Metro Community Hospitals, UCHealth and the Longs Peak and Broomfield Hospitals Board of Directors regarding the performance of the organization.

- Provides operational leadership and is responsible for service standards, budget, financial quality, patient experience, contract negotiations, and regulatory.
- Producing desired results associated with service excellence, quality clinical outcomes, and financial integrity of operations, being highly visible at the facility, region and system levels.
- Partners with Longs Peak & Broomfield Hospital's Chief Medical Officer and medical staffs to ensure the provision of facilities and services that fosters a high level of professional practice and responsiveness to the needs of the community, including high quality patient health care and desired medical management outcomes.
- Responsible for setting clear expectations, meeting deadlines, holding staff accountable, and as necessary, the development and management of improvement plans, and efficient utilization of resources to execute strategies.
- Responsible for developing and fostering positive relationships with all constituents including medical staff, employees, volunteers, external agencies, and the community.
- Responsible for the development of short and long-term strategic plans, execution of goals and meeting desired metrics and objectives of the facility.
- Maintain on-going communication with facility employees to ensure that the staff is well informed regarding the strategic direction of UCHealth, Longs Peak & Broomfield Hospitals.
- Fosters a culture of teamwork and engagement with a focus on developing staff.
- Maintains the UCHealth and community hospital culture with high expectations established for positive employee and patient experiences.
- Acts as a brand ambassador and promotes a positive impression of the UCHealth brand, strategy and processes.
- Partners with Longs Peak and Broomfield Hospital's Chief Medical Officer to serve as a liaison to the medical staff leadership, medical staff committees and the communities.
- Provides leadership and actively participates in the development and implementation of strategic, tactical, program and operational planning. Utilizes forecasting and planning processes to identify opportunities in the way of capital, technology, acquisitions, and program development which achieve desired system growth related to capacity and capability of services offered and are responsive to the needs of the community.
- Ensure proper regulatory and accreditation standards, work with the President of Diversified Services and Denver Metro Community Hospitals to obtain cooperation and support of the community on issues that impact Longs Peak & Broomfield Hospitals.
- Positively represent UCHealth and Long Peak and Broomfield Hospitals in the community and/or with various national, regional, and/or local entities, garnering desired support to enhance program development.
- Conduct routine employee forums to inform and keep abreast of the issues that employees are facing and ensure that issues are addressed timely and appropriately to avoid third party intervention.
- Effectively interface with UCHealth system departments to foster up to date communication, updates, and collaboration on key initiatives.
- Directly responsible for the improvement of hospital facilities and expansion services, including construction or renovation of structures and the purchasing of new equipment.
- Proactively prepare organizational strategies, operational goals and prepares for board approvals to move initiatives forward.
- Provide stewardship for the organizational assets.

Education/Certification
- Master's Degree in Hospital, Healthcare or Business Administration or the equivalent as determined by the Board of Directors.
- Experience representing a hospital, medical complex, and/or medical center(s) to its community, with evidence of strengthening the hospital's presence and impact.
- Proven track record of partnering with medical staff to achieve desired facility outcomes.
- Proven experience in leading fiscally sound, profitable, efficient, and responsible healthcare operations.
- Demonstrated executive presence with the knowledge base and stature to deliver advice in a manner that is respected and valued by the Board, executive team, and business and staff group leaders and other internal and external constituents.
