What will you do as a Registered Dietitian

  • you will be responsible for completing initial, quarterly, annual and significant change nutritional reviews on residents.
  • Participate in care plan conferences and other clinical meetings to consult with physicians and other health care personnel to determine diet restrictions and nutritional needs of residents.
  • You'll also be responsible for assessing nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans in order to develop and implement dietary care plans and provides nutritional counseling as needed.
  • As required, you keep accurate records for each resident you work with and report any changes in a resident's condition to the nursing department immediately.

What you need as a Registered Dietitian

  • Previous experience in a long term care facility required
  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field
  • Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist in the state
