Who We Are

Professor Minhyea Lee’s group is located in the Duane Physics E2B level.

We are the experimental condense matter physicists and working on uncover new phenomena and novel physics in electronic and spin systems. We perform our “tests” under extreme conditions, such as low temperature, high magnetic field, high pressure and in-plane stain and many knobs Nature allows.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Raman spectroscopy data processing and analysis.
  • Creating high quality visual presentations of the data.

What You Should Know

This is a summer temporary researcher position at experimental condensed matter physics; ending on or before August 18, 2023.

What We Can Offer

This is a 20 hour per week position. The hiring range for this position is $17-18 per hour.

Benefits

Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

What We Require

  • Prior experiences on analyzing spectroscopy data and Raman spectrum analysis using matlab and python.
  • Proficiency in using python libraries.
  • At least consecutive 18 months of working experience at a physics research lab.

What You Will Need

  • The candidate should know quantum mechanics, thermodynamics and statistical mechanics. The candidate should be proficient with understanding and analyzing multivariable data sets. The candidate also should have sufficient prior knowledge on analysis using matlab and python and on creating graphical presentations.
  • The candidate should also have knowledge on solid state physics, statistical mechanics.

What We Would Like You to Have

  • At least 24 months of experiences working at a physics research lab.
