Who We Need

We’re looking for someone to lead our South Texas region. This role will serve to cultivate existing and new collaborative partnerships, lead program delivery, and ensure grant deliverables are executed. The ideal candidate has experience in project management, is self-motivated, and is ready to provide a hands-on approach to creating healthier communities.

Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Program Delivery, this role will assist with the strategic direction of engagement and funding, hold leadership positions at coalition meetings and events, and provide regional support for outreach, programs, and initiatives. This a remote position with some expected travel across the South Texas region.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Project Delivery (30%)

  • Serve as a Project Lead for relevant projects that support ITT’s vision, strategy and funding deliverables
  • Ensure project delivery is maximizing our ROI
  • Assists staff in the development of projects and approves projects that align with the goals, vision and strategy of the organization
  • Ensures that projects have sufficient resources and are operating effectively
  • Supports team to have accountability of project management systems
  • Ensure that program activities operate within organizational policies and procedures and in compliance with funder requirements
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage the risks associated with program activities
  • Responsible for holding Project Leads accountable and supporting them as needed

Relationship Management (20%)

  • Identify, cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with regional partners, funders and thought leaders
  • Coordinate and lead partner and stakeholder meetings
  • Regularly attend and serve in a leadership capacity at coalition meetings
  • Facilitate communication between regional partners and It’s Time Texas central office staff
  • Build support, momentum, and adoption of policies that will improve the health landscape in South Texas
  • Engage with partners and program stakeholders regularly to maintain strong relationships
  • Monitor progress on agreements (where applicable) and identify growth opportunities
  • Build relationships to identify It’s Time Texas ambassadors in South Texas

Strategy (20%)

  • Assist in strategy development that help the organization meet the needs of the community
  • Play a key role in the annual planning process for the South Texas region
  • Provide thought leadership to elevate the team’s potential and thinking
  • Play a critical role in implementing strategies that increase stakeholder engagement with specific programs, initiatives, and events, as well as ITT overall to maximize impact and donor base
  • Coordinate cross-project and cross-team activities that maximize organizational impact
  • Participate in program design and development activities for existing and new offerings

Team Leadership (15%)

  • Provide support, direction, and feedback to team members
  • Model behavior that is consistent with the organizational culture and values
  • Hold team members accountable for performance and develop corrective action plans as needed
  • Recruit, hire, and train new staff in the South Texas region

Funder Management, Reporting & Budgeting (10%)

  • Assist in budgeting process as necessary
  • Support the development and/or reporting of grant/funding proposals
  • Ensure that the team operates within the approved budgets and grant/contract agreements
  • Assist It’s Time Texas staff in the identification and recruitment of a variety of investors, including sponsors, donors, government, and grant makers
  • Work with funders to maintain high satisfaction and sustainable investment

Organizational Leadership (5%)

  • Work with leadership across the organization to implement a matrixed organizational structure that increases support for our efforts, provides growth/leadership opportunities for staff, and widens the ownership/understanding of key programs, events, and initiatives
  • Support other teams in accomplishing organization-wide goals

Requirements
