Position Purpose:

To clean, stock and provide turn-down service for guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Assist Lobby Attendant in delivering guest requests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide turn-down service by partially removing and storing bedspread, replenishing amenities, linens, and supplies and filling ice bucket as preferred by guest.

Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents.

Strip and make beds, changing bed linens.

Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves.

Replenish amenities, linens and supplies in guest room.

Vacuum room, and empty trash.

Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms, and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify cleaning completion.

Assist Lobby Attendant in delivering items requested by guests.

Assist Lobby Attendant in public areas as needed.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

• Attending all mandatory meetings.

• Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to Safety/Security Department.

• Provide general public assistance, instruction and/or guidance for guests and employee safety in the event of an emergency.

• Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training.

• Keep work area neat and organized.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.

• Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, stand, and walk in pubic areas for extended periods of time.

• Ability to under and follow directions, and perform job functions with limited supervision.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS EDUCATION

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Previous experience preferred but not required.
